VELO Plus is Coming Soon

Forget everything you thought you knew about VELO and brace yourself for one of the most talked about product announcements of the year: VELO Plus is just weeks away from launch!

The new and improved pouches promise a stronger and more consistent nicotine experience, as well as: 

• 5 flavors;
• 2 strengths;
• A slim, slightly larger format;
• More durable material to avoid spillage (which has been an issue in the past).

Since bringing their nicotine pouches from Sweden to the US in 2019, VELO has amassed a loyal fan base and some vocal critics. By taking on board feedback from both groups, they’ve been able to focus on doing what they do best while upping their game in other areas – now offering customers a pouch that not only addresses their concerns, but redefines what’s possible with VELO. 

You can expect to see VELO Plus for sale online and in-stores from December, so there’s really not long to wait now. 

Every VELO Plus pouch will be available in a 6mg or 9mg strength, catering for both Regular and Strong preferences with 20 slim, dry portions per can.

Flavor-wise, you have their popular Mint, Peppermint, Spearmint and Wintergreen to choose from as well as a new Citrus Chill (which combines the best of citrus with a cooling twist). More flavors are rumored to be released throughout 2025 including Dragon Fruit and even an unflavored variety in certain states, so we’ll be keeping a close eye on those too.

Asking around the office, our team couldn’t be more excited to try them. 

This feels like a new era for VELO. I personally can’t wait for the slightly stronger pouch and to see how the products compare.

It’s fair to say the new product from VELO will earn a few plus points for the following reasons. 

• The can: Gone are the days of hunting down a bin when you’re finished with your nicotine pouch. Every pocket-friendly can of VELO Plus features a handy compartment for storing used pouches, making it easier than ever to dispose of them on-the-go.
  
  
• The pouch: Being a few millimeters longer may not sound like much but it makes a big difference in terms of mouthfeel. Now you can tuck a VELO Plus pouch even more comfortably under your top lip, feeling like it’s secure enough to have conversations and go about your day without constantly needing to readjust it.
  
  
• The nicotine content: VELO Plus has a few more milligrams per pouch than what you’ll find in the “original” VELO range. Both offer a Regular and Strong option, but now you have the choice of 6mg or 9mg of synthetic nicotine in addition to the 4mg and 7mg of plant-derived nicotine.

Despite the undeniable buzz around VELO Plus, it's important to remember these won’t be replacing the existing VELO products we stock. Fans of flavors like VELO Cinnamon and Black Cherry, for instance, need not worry.
