Rogue Shortages Expected

Demand for nicotine pouches has never been higher. Fresh off the back of a ZYN shortage that we’re still feeling the effects of, Rogue is the latest brand to come out and say we can expect some of their products to be out of stock soon and not re-stocked until early next year.

Thankfully, not all Rogue nicotine pouches will be negatively impacted. In fact, production is going to increase on their 5 bestselling pouches and a few others will be received intermittently in batches throughout the fall and winter. Check out the full list below to see how your favorites fare.

*Right now, orders of these products are capped at 30 cans every 30 days (while stocks last). Unfortunately Rogue is already out of stock in Rogue Apple and Cinnamon flavors, plus Berry 6mg and Mango 3mg.

Rogue’s decision here is based on sales volumes (which are 2-3 times higher than last year, if you can believe it) and the need to direct more resources towards flavors that keep the biggest chunk of their customers coming back for more.

This doesn’t mean any Rogue flavors are being discontinued – it’s just a matter of prioritization until their production is able to step up and meet the unprecedented demand.

We pulled together a list of Rogue alternatives available on Northerner if your go-to flavor/strength combination is in short supply. Why not take the opportunity to explore the rest of their range? Or similar products from other brands? 

Take a look through these nicotine pouch suggestions if you find yourself in need of a temporary Rogue replacement. 

If you don’t mind double the nicotine per pouch, Rogue Peppermint 6mg is the way to go in terms of an exact flavor match. But if you'd like to keep the milligrams low, you have the choice between trying a new minty Rogue flavor that's Less Intense (their Wintergreen 3mg), or an entirely new brand, like VELO, for their take on peppermint. 

If neither variety of Rogue Berry is currently in stock, we recommend branching out to On!’s Berry range. Known for their distinctive rectangular cans, choose from their Less Intense (2mg), Regular (4mg) or Strong (8mg) pouches for a similarly satisfying taste of forest fruits.

Luckily, you still have access to Rogue Spearmint 6mg when you can’t get your hands on their Less Intense pouches. The only other 3mg mint variety with extra availability in Rogue’s range right now is the bestselling wintergreen, if you want to see what all the fuss is about. Looking at other brands and sticking with the spearmint flavor though, you can't go past VELO in terms of a match. 

These pouches are harder to come by, but in the absence of any specific alternatives from the Rogue range, we suggest trying Lucy, On! or VELO to see how their cinnamons stack up. 

The good news here is that Mango 6mg is one of the products that will continue to be produced by Rogue, so you’re able to buy it long after their 3mg pouches are gone. Lucy also has a popular mango pouch if you'd prefer to consume only 1 extra milligram of nicotine, as opposed to 3.

Rogue Honey Lemon is the only flavor of its kind on the market right now, so, if we’ve sold out of these pouches and you're chasing a lemony flavor, we can vouch for Rogue’s Citrus pouches in 3mg and 6mg strengths or the on! citrus range. VELO Citrus Burst features more orange than lemon, but we're including it here too in case you’re in the mood to mix things up.

Unfortunately, both Rogue Apples have already gone AWOL and are officially out of stock. Keep an eye out for their 6mg though, as we do expect it to be included in some shipments this year. In their place, we recommend Lucy Apple Ice (4mg or 8mg) as a good fit, provided you don’t mind the addition of cool mint to the crisp apple flavor and can handle the extra nicotine per pouch.
